Accpac Consultant

MCI is looking for a certified Accpac consultant who is able to support our existing client base as well as assist with new installations.
The candidate will be required to implement the Accpac for Windows range of software including installation, setup, training, support and report writing.


Competencies and Experience:

  • Must have an accounting degree
  • Experience with implementation and support on Accpac for Windows is essential (or alternatively another accounting package)
  • Strong understanding of business practices and financial reporting
  • Service Manager skills will be advantageous
  • DBit Fixed Assets implementation skills
  • Peresoft Cashbook implementation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Knowledge of Pervasive SQL and MS SQL

Business Intelligence Consultant

MCI is looking for a Business Intelligence consultant who is able to support our existing client base as well as implement solutions at new clients.
For this position we will consider graduates as well as candidates with some experience.


Competencies and Experience:

  • The candidate must be familiar with the fundamentals of financial accounting
  • The candidate must have good general computing knowledge, basic troubleshooting and support capability on the Microsoft Windows platform, a good understanding of networking fundamentals, familiar with application installation
  • Prior experience with Business Intelligence tools (especially with OLAP and TM1 specifically) would be preferable, but is not essential
  • A good working knowledge of MS SQL is required
  • A good understanding of relational databases is required
  • Experience with integration and/or ETL tools is required
  • The candidate must have programming ability
  • A tertiary qualification, preferably in Commerce or the Sciences, preferably IT or Accounting oriented is required

Activities will include the following:

  • Implementing solutions using Cognos and TM1

Adapt Recruitment Consultant

The position is for a consultant who will handle customization of the Adapt application, which includes development in Adapt's own proprietary development tools, and extends to integrating to external applications and developing web-based front-ends using a variety of tools and languages.


Competencies and Experience:

  • IT- or Commerical-oriented tertiary education is a requirement
  • Experience in the Recruitment or Human Resources industries or providing consulting services to these industries preferred, although candidates with experience in other industries and exceptional graduates will also be considered
  • Programming ability is a requirement (but need not be language specific)
  • Good working knowledge of computer systems, networking, operating systems and software integration
  • Exposure to web development tools and languages will be an advantage
  • Strong inter-personal skills

MCI is looking for a Lotus Domino Developer to join our dynamic team of developers to assist with ongoing maintenance of existing products and to participate in the development of new and exciting systems.


Competencies and Experience:

  • A tertiary qualification would be preferred
  • 3-4 years programming experience in Lotus Script/VB
  • A good understanding of HTML/JavaScript and Java
  • Optional skills: CORBA/IIOP, XML and Linux
  • Product knowledge/experience in Lotus Domino (Designer / Administrator)
  • A good working knowledge of MS SQL is essential
  • A good understanding of relational database is required

Business Development Manager

MCI is looking for a Business Development Manager, who is technically inclined with a good sales record, to visit existing clients in order to maximize and expand our services to them. (e.g. Network and Communication services, Preventative Maintenance, Web-site Design and Content Management, Printing of Corporate Stationery, Accounting systems, Business Intelligence, identifying additional requirements e.g. systems development, mobile applications etc).

Also prepared to look at a graduate.


Competencies and Experience:

  • A good understanding of IT
  • Experience in Business Development or providing consulting services would be beneficial
  • Experience in Sales with a good track record would be beneficial
  • Tertiary qualification preferably BCom majoring in Marketing
  • MS Office skills including proficiency in MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • The ability to understand a client's business and identify opportunities
  • Creativity and good writing skills would be beneficial
